ENERGY UPGRADE AND RENOVATION OF HEALTH CENTERS IN GREECE'S 4TH HEALTH REGION 
Project's Description

The project involves the design of the upgrade of four health centers in Macedonia, namely Polykastro in Kilkis and Paleochori, Nea Moudania, and Nea Kallikratia in Chalkidiki.

These are single-story or two-story buildings, with or without basements, with reinforced concrete frames, wooden false roofs, and brick infill walls. The surface area of the enclosed spaces ranges from 1150 to 2050 m2 and the year of construction from 1984 to 2007.

Our services included confirming the load-bearing structure, recording any structural or non-structural defects, identifying deviations from the approved drawings, general or local structural evaluaton studies, as well as strengthening design and repair specifications, wherever necessary.

More specifically, the interventions we proposed where the reconstruction of ground slabs, the reinforcement of superstructure slabs, the filling and repair of cracks, the repair and restoration of elements with rebar corrosion issues, new steel canopies, roofs and support grillages for E/M equipment and, finally, the strengthening of metal sheds.
