Project's Description

 Structural Design and supervision of the transformation of an existing building on 502-504 Mesogeion Avenue and Eucalyptus str., into a Retail store.

The building was constructed in 1975 and has a total area of 3.500 m2. It consists of two basements, a ground floor and four additional over ground levels.

Because of the change of use, structural evaluation was required and, consequently, strengthening of the building, according to the Hellenic Code of Structural Interventions ( KAN.EPE.)

Prior to design, laboratory evaluation of the characteristics of materials of the structural system (based on ΚΑΝ.ΕPΕ.) and geometric depiction of the existing concrete structure were made.

Apart from the above, new steel structures, such as an external staircase, a roof canopy, an entrance canopy, side plena and an extension on the ground floor were also studied.
