Projec's Description 

The building, situated on Eleftheriou Venizelou and St Minas str, was constructed between the late 19th , and early 20th century. It is covering a total area of 2.193 m2. Orestis Bakalbasis undertook the scheme design, detailed design and supervision of the required alterations and strengthening. Plaisio S.A. additionaly asked our company to be responsible for checking the design and providing assistance and consultation in the project supervision.

The structural system of this early 20th century establishment consists of masonry natural stone or brick walls and steel floor beams. Refurbishment tasks include:

• Checking and strengthening of the floors for a 5kN/m² Live Load
• Mezzanine floor replacement
• Addition of 2 lifts and 2 staircases
• Seismic design, checking and gunite strengthening of existing masonry walls and columns
• Addition of steel vertical bracing systems and reinforced concrete walls.
