REPAIR - MODERNIZATION OF SPARTA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Project's Description

Evaluation of the structural system and strengthening proposals for a single-storey listed building, dating back to late 19th century.

In the early 20th century the building was elongated symmetrically about its initial central web and gained its current 63.30 m - long and 6.90 m or 9.10 m - width shape. The on-site structural system identification and the laboratory test of the building materials, preceded the checking and strengthening proposals. Furthermore, rising of ground moisture, one of the basic problems of this listed building, was radically solved.
