Project' s Description

The project concerns the construction of a new building with an area of 3,700 sq.m. which will house the Laboratory of Optics and Vision (LOO) of the University of Crete, at Heraklion.
The development of the Bioimaging and Vision Center is planned to take place on a privately owned plot, at the border of the southern part of the property of the University of Crete in Heraklion, northwest of the University Hospital.
The structural system is usual; it consists of concrete frames with columns, shear walls, beams, and solid or waffle slabs. The building consists of 4 structurally independent parts.
