Project's Description

Our scope of work was to check an existing timber canopy roof of a hotel restaurant. The roof has been constructed in 2000 and is 610 m2 in plan. It features a complicated construction, both in the geometry, as well as in the type of the structural system. It consists of a double pitch, a quadruple pitch and an eight-pitch central part. First, on site geometry and section identification was carried out. Then, 3D analysis was undertaken using Bentley’s Staad-Pro software. Timber design according to Eurocode 5, using Runet’s software Woodexpress followed. Finally, a technical report was submitted with the results of all the previous steps.
