Project's Description

This is a small condominium with 2 superstructure and 1 underground floors, 220m2 in plan and a 550m2 total area. The structural system is a dual one, with a mix of reinforced concrete shear walls and columns. The foundation system is a 50cm thick raft. The structure has a Π shape in plan, the 2 sides of which are interconnected via a 5m wide, 20cm thick highly reinforced slab.
Analysis was performed in Etabs (CSI), were the slabs and walls were modeled via plate finite elements. In this way, we were able to evaluate the stiffness of the floor diaphragms, since the latter have been modeled using their true membrane stiffness.
