AMMONIA PRODUCTION IN SALA, SLOVAK REPUBLIC
Project's Description
Technip was awarded by Duslo a.s. a contract to develop the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a new ammonia production unit in the existing fertilizer complex located in Sal’a, Slovak Republic. Based on Haldor Topsoe last generation technology, the new unit will have a capacity of 1,600 tons per day of ammonia. The project is unique because it represents the first entirely new ammonia plant to be built in Europe over the last decades. Tecnip chose Sofman S.A. as their subcontractor for the fabrication and erection of the steel structures supporting piping and machinery. Our responsibility was to design the steel connections, using forces from the 3D analysis that had already been completed by Technip.
